9/11 What We Lost, Then Lost Again

I remember walking into the production area at the printing company I was working for at the time.

"What you watching?" I naively asked.

"A plane just hit one of the towers of the World Trade Center in New York."

"Do they know what happened?" I asked thinking it was just some tragic miscalculation or plane malfunction.

Within minutes, all of our doubts were cast aside as the second plane collided, then exploded into the second tower.

It was now clear regarding the nature of what the explosions were....

An attack and act of war on the United States... On US!

I can still remember the confusion...

The fear...

The concern...

The anger...

Our world as Americans would never be the same again...

9/11 First Responders...

I have a handful of friends who were there. Police, Military, Firefighters, EMT  and Construction Workers.

My heart goes out to all of the victims and their families. My admiration goes out to all who were there, professional or not who not only survived, but chose to protect others in a great time of need.

Even though the event was tragic for us as people and a nation...

It was awe inspiring to see all of us set down our relative differences and join together as ONE...

It's too bad that it often takes something of magnitude for us to see past what separates us for what joins us.

As Protectors!

Flight 77, 93 & the Pentagon...

When we think of  9/11 we often just think of the World Trade Center...

Often the attack that occurred on the Pentagon is overlooked.

As are flights 93 & 77...

Flight 93 was brought down by the heroic passengers before hitting its intended target.

Unfortunately, flight 77 successfully struck the Pentagon, killing 184 people and injuring many others.

I Hope It Doesn't Take Another...

Event like 9/11 to bring us together as a Nation and as people...

Please, take a minute to remember those we lost and those who protected...

Let's not wait until the next tragedy to connect as a Nation of Protectors and as Human Beings!

Set the pace and...

Keep going,
~Craig
