Have To v. Get To

Have to vs. Get to…

You could go on and on about how you “Have to” work out…

Well, I try to look at it a bit differently.

My mindset is that I…

“Get To” workout.

No matter how much or little. How ugly or great I look or the session goes. I keep reminding myself that…

I “Get To” train!

Yep, even on the bad days!

Some people only dream of being able to move their bodies at all.

Jackie Chan

I came across this the other day and wanted to share it with you.

We both know that when you come across something on the internet, you never can tell if it’s true or not. Regardless whether or not Jackie Chan actually said this, make no mistake, the words are true, regardless who spoke them.

The interviewer asks, “Jackie, are you happy with your life?”

Jackie Chan replied:

“You know, I once heard some very wise words. The difficult job you complain about is the dream of someone who’s unemployed.

The mischievous child that tests your patience is the dream of the childless.

The small house you think is too cramped is the dream of someone who’s homeless.

The modest savings you worry over is the dream of those drowning in debt.

The health issues you consider burdensome are the dream of someone fighting a terminal illness.

The fact that your mistakes are not on display for the world to see is the dream of those haunted by their past.

The peace of mind you have, the restful sleep you enjoy, the meal you easily access, these are dreams for those living in war-torn regions.

We must cherish everything we have.”

No Different…

Our Lives are no exception to this...

Be grateful for the things you DO have. There are so many things for us to be thankful for, it’s easy to forget them in the midst of the things we want.

The paradise we dream about, once gotten, becomes our next prison we dream about escaping from.

It’s a constant cycle if you’re not careful!

Can Your Training Help w/This?!

Yes, if you are training in the right way. Your training should help you to remain grateful. It should constantly remind you of your WHY! Why are you training? What is the purpose? Are you doing things to help you achieve that purpose? Or are you conflicted? Don’t train one way, wanting some other type of result.

If you want oranges you have to plant the seeds of an orange tree. Don’t plant the seeds of an orange tree expecting apples!

Can Your Training Help w/This?!

Last week I suggested that you to take a closer look at your own habits and determine if they are still serving you.

This week I’m reminding you to be grateful for what you DO have…

Remember your WHY and…

Make sure you’re planting the right seeds.
