What Got You Here...

It’s strange, I have been self employed, doing what I love to do for over a decade and a half and this week / weekend rhythm still effects me.

Monday’s are still Monday’s… Friday’s and weekends still feel different too.

It’s funny what years of conditioning (especially in your formative years) will do!

Same Holds True…

Same holds true with your training…

(You HAD to know I was going there right!? =)

Your formative training makes a deeper impact on you. It’s harder to undo a ‘bad’ habit than to learn a new skill.

It’s best to get it right in the first place… but is that always possible?

The answer is obviously NO. You don’t always condition yourself correctly right out from the start…

As they say, “Mistakes Were Made…”

Often times, it’s not a mistake or learned ‘bad habit’, sometimes, things simply changed…

The circumstance changed…

YOU changed!

What Got You Here?!

Sometimes you have to simply honor what got you here and realize that it may not be the same thing you need any more. It may not be the same thing that will get you to the next spot.

Rather than beating yourself up and feeling regret or shame…

Honor what brought you this far (even if it wasn’t perfect)… and move the f*ck on to where you’re aiming to go!

Yeah, it can be difficult, but don’t make it any harder than it has to be… Empty your cup!

I have a saying,

“Learn like you know nothing, do like you know everything.”

Meaning, when you are learning something new, keep an open mind, be a sponge, Learn like a child…

However, when you have to perform something in the moment, (especially under pressure), don’t second guess yourself or hesitate. Perform with confidence!

Same, But Different…

I’m reminded of habits and learning when I think about helping people to protect themselves, managing conflict and becoming better leaders.

Yesterday, we started the PeaceWalker Evolution Program which is the flagship course I teach. It’s kinda like having a speed pass to not just self defense, conflict management and leadership… But really the blueprint to a better, more powerfully fulfilling Life.

The biggest hurdle participant’s have is realizing their true identity.

The second biggest hurdle they face is their habits.

Many of the things that need to be addressed are things that we’ve seen all along. Things that we’ve been doing all along. Things that are right in front of your nose!

The way we deal with conflict inside of us is the key to how we handle (or create) conflicts around us.

What got you to where you are today isn’t the same tools necessary to get you to where you want to go. In some cases, your habits are preventing you from living that safer, healthier, happier, more powerful Life all together.

Dig…

Take a closer look at your own habits and determine if they are still serving you.

Quit beating yourself up over those things that are outdated. Move on. Learn new habits. See your true identity. Who will you choose to be? And what will you choose to see?

I know, it’s simple, but far from easy.

Many can’t do it alone. Most need help.

would recommend that you consider joining us on this PeaceWalker Evolution Training Retreat, where you could quickly get the tools and support you need to make that transformation, but… If you’re not already in this year’s program, you can’t even get in. Sorry, you missed your chance this time around.

So, keep an eye out for when registration opens for next year’s program it might be the best decision you’ve ever made!

However, you can join us on the new PeaceWalker Network. It’s a place where you can more deeply connect to this community and get some unique training resources. The best part!? It’s Free!

Have a great weekend!

Keep Going,
